Accounting Manager

We are currently partnering with a growing financial services firm on an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager to join their team in the New York Metro Area. This high-visibility role will work closely with the CFO and senior leadership, with broad exposure across fund and management company accounting, financial reporting, investment activity, and strategic analysis. The Accounting Manager will play an integral role in the month-end and quarter-end close, GAAP financial reporting, reconciliations, investment and capital activity, audit support, and management reporting, while also helping strengthen accounting processes and controls as the organization continues to grow. The position also offers exposure to investment analysis and financial modeling. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of two days per week in the office, with a target compensation of $150K base plus bonus.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of accounting experience within asset management, financial services, fund accounting, or public accounting, along with a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and excellent Excel skills. CPA is required. Experience within a small or mid-sized organization is preferred, as this role is well suited for someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and working collaboratively across different areas of the business.
