Accounting Coordinator – Washington, DC
Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a local client in Washington, DC in their search for an Accounting Coordinator to join their team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Washington, DC, offering an excellent opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented professional to support day-to-day accounting functions and contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment preparation, and collections

Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations on a regular basis

Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner

Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of supporting schedules

Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation
-
Assist with the preparation of financial reports and provide support during audits

Coordinate with internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure proper documentation

Utilize Microsoft Excel to create, update, and analyze spreadsheets, including formulas, pivot tables, and basic reporting functions

Ensure adherence to internal accounting policies and applicable financial regulations

Provide general administrative support to the accounting department as needed
Preferred Qualifications:

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Proficiency with accounting software and financial systems

Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
