Beacon Hill Financial is working with a company in Silver Spring, MD to bring a Cash Applications Specialist to their growing team. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of accounting experience. This in-person role is responsible for accurately applying incoming payments to customer accounts, resolving payment discrepancies, and supporting the Accounts Receivable function to ensure timely and accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities:

Process and apply daily cash receipts, including checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit card payments to customer accounts.

Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short payments, overpayments, and unidentified receipts.

Reconcile payments against invoices and account balances in the ERP or accounting system.

Maintain accurate records of all cash transactions and customer interactions.

Collaborate with collections, billing, and customer service teams to resolve account issues.

Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
