Corporate Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our accounting team. This position will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with audits. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment while ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries
  • Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records and accounting transactions
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items
  • Analyze financial data and prepare management reporting packages
  • Support internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules and documentation
  • Assist with fixed asset accounting, prepaid expenses, and intercompany transactions
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and accounting policies
  • Partner with cross-functional departments to support business initiatives
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Participate in special projects and other accounting-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial analysis
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics GP, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Public accounting experience
  • Experience in a multi-entity or corporate environment
  • Experience supporting audits and internal controls
  • Exposure to SOX compliance and financial process improvement initiatives
