Accounting Manager- Arlington, VA
Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a growing organization who are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager with a strong background in real estate, property management, or development accounting to lead our financial operations. The ideal candidate will manage daily accounting functions, supervise the accounting team, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, general ledger, and month-end close processes.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and adherence to GAAP.
- Manage and maintain the chart of accounts, accounting policies, and internal controls.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial schedules prepared by the team.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5+ years of accounting experience, with real estate or property management industry experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in real estate or property management accounting software (Yardi, MRI, AppFolio, etc.).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
