Controller -Elkridge, MD
Beacon Hill Financial is working with a local organization that needs a Financial Controller responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all financial reporting activities. This role manages accounting functions, prepares financial statements, and provides strategic financial insights to guide business decisions and support organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Analyze financial data and present reports and insights to senior management.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies and internal controls.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Partner with management, engineering, and other departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor cash flow and overall financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
- Oversee payroll processing and integration with job costing systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a senior financial management role.
- In-depth understanding of GAAP and relevant financial regulations.
