Bookkeeper / Help Desk Specialist – Washington, DC
Beacon Hill Financial is working with a local organization who is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Help Desk Specialist to join their department at the headquarters in Washington, DC. This is an in-office position requiring on-site work. The ideal candidate will combine strong accounting knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot user issues and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide help desk support via phone and internet for bookkeeping and membership-related software.
* Assist users with QuickBooks Desktop, including entering transactions, reconciling accounts, generating reports, and resolving software issues.
* Support users in analyzing and correcting bookkeeping discrepancies and procedural errors.
* Respond to incoming calls, emails, and support requests in a timely and professional manner.
* Maintain accurate financial records and assist with general bookkeeping tasks as needed.
* Ensure compliance with established bookkeeping procedures and organizational guidelines.
* Document common issues and solutions to improve support efficiency.

Qualifications:
* QuickBooks Desktop certification or a minimum of five (5) years of hands-on QuickBooks Desktop experience required.
* Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial support role.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
* Customer-service oriented with a proactive and helpful approach.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
