Senior Accountant – Arlington, VA

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end and year-end close
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Analyze variances and trends to provide insights into financial performance
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Assist with process improvements and implementation of best practices within the accounting function
