Staff Accountant – Northern Virginia
Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a client in their search for a staff accountant to join their growing team. This position involves reconciling bank statements, credit cards, and general ledger accounts. As well as, assisting with the month-end and year – end close processes. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirement.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with external auditors by preparing supporting documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and financial schedules.
- Maintain and update fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and support documentation.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and internal reports for management review.
