Sr. Accountant (Contract)

Senior Accountant (SAP & BlackLine) – Irving, TX

We are partnering with a growing organization in Irving, TX that is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working cross-functionally, and brings strong experience with SAP and BlackLine.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced accounting tasks while ensuring alignment with company policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights to support business decisions
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
• Support the month-end close process, including journal entries and financial reporting
• Collaborate with various departments to streamline processes and implement improvements
• Assist in developing and reviewing reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• Contribute to process enhancements by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members

Core Accounting Functions

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial reports
• Assist with financial analysis, including variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and company accounting standards
• Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with SAP and BlackLine (required)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting processes
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
