Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a repeat client, in the federal sector, in their search for a Senior Budget Officer to join their team. This role will report to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for leading forecasting efforts and budgeting initiatives for the organization. Candidates should have experience with financial reporting, working with external auditors, and in building out dashboards and other data visualization projects. This role will require experience with both federal and non-profit organizations and will be fully on-site in their Washington, DC-based headquarters. Essential Job Duties

Lead the annual budgeting and re-forecasting process in collaboration with global program and operations teams

Prepare and present detailed budget models and financial analyses to inform executive-level decisions

Monitor project financial performance, track budget vs. actuals, and flag risks or variances proactively

Oversee development of internal budget templates, planning dashboards, and scenario models

Contribute to cost proposal development with a focus on flexible, non-restrictive funding sources

Support board and funder reporting with financial summaries and customized budget narratives

Collaborate with accounting, HR, and program staff to integrate financial strategy with organizational planning
