Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a locally based construction company in the search for an Accountant, well versed in the construction business, to join their team. This individual should bring prior industry experience to the job and will be responsible for handling full cycle accounting responsibilities. Candidates need to be comfortable processing both AP and AR invoices, posting within the company general ledger, and should also have prior job costing experience. History working with Sage products, preferably Intacct, is also needed in this role. This is a fully onsite job that will require candidates to be in office five days / week in their Washington, DC-based headquarters. Essential Job Duties

Manage all aspects of the accounting cycle for construction projects, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards

Prepare and review monthly financial statements, project cost reports, and variance analyses

Track and report on project budgets, expenditures, and profitability

Handle contract billings, lien waivers, and compliance documentation

Oversee job costing processes and ensure accurate billing to clients based on project progress and contract terms

Collaborate with project managers to monitor financial performance and address discrepancies

Assist with annual audits and provide required documentation

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies
