Beacon Hill Financial is working with a non-profit in Laurel, MD to bring a Staff Accountant to their accounting team. This role follows a hybrid work model, with two days on site and three days remote per week. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of accounting experience, strong multitasking abilities, and intermediate proficiency in Excel.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

Analyze financial statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.

Prepare and assist with audit documentation.

Maintain organized financial records and documentation for compliance.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting as needed.
Qualifications:

3+ years of accounting experience preferred.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).

Familiarity with accounting software.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
