Key Qualifications
- Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field is required. - Relevant Experience
Minimum of 2+ years’ accounting experience, ideally in real estate or property management settings. - Technical Skills
Proficiency in MRI or Yardi software.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Lease Abstraction & System Updates
Interpret new leases and amendments, input and maintain accurate lease data in MRI Software, and manage commencement agreements.
- Billing & Tenant Correspondence
Generate monthly rent charges and statements; draft welcome letters and rent commencement letters; manage communication with tenants regarding billing and lease obligations. - CAM, Tax & Insurance Reconciliations
Prepare recovery pools and year-end reconciliations for CAM (Common Area Maintenance), taxes, and insurance; develop income projections and annual expense estimates. - Percentage Rent & Critical Date Tracking
Monitor gross sales reports and calculate percentage rent; track critical lease dates such as security deposit reductions, expirations, and option periods. - Cash Application & Collections
Monitor tenant payments, apply cash receipts accurately, and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collection.
