Job Description (Essential Responsibilities)
- Interpret and abstract new leases, amendments, and related documents; maintain accurate data in MRI
- Generate monthly charges and tenant statements
- Manage commencement agreements and update lease information in MRI
- Draft and issue welcome letters, rent commencement letters, and other tenant correspondence
- Prepare recovery pools and year-end reconciliations for CAM, taxes, and insurance
- Develop income projections and annual estimates for CAM/RET/insurance; post rental charges
- Monitor gross sales reports and calculate percentage rent
- Track and manage critical lease dates (security deposit reductions, options, expirations, notices)
- Provide accurate lease information to internal departments in a timely manner
- Collaborate with leasing and legal teams to resolve lease interpretation issues
- Monitor tenant payments, apply cash receipts, and follow up on outstanding balances
- Communicate with tenants regarding billing, collections, and lease obligations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or related field required
- 2+ years relevant accounting experience, preferably in real estate
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting/database software MRI or Yardi
