Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a local client in their search for a Controller to join their team. This role will be responsible for overseeing day to day accounting operations, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and collaborating with the accounting team. Required Skillset:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting AND active CPA.
- Capable of effectively managing and collaborating with a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, payroll, grants, and financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and nonprofit standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and forecasts for leadership and board review.
- Manage the annual audit process and ensure timely, accurate filing of all regulatory documents (e.g., IRS Form 990).
- Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure strong fiscal management and compliance.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, while collaborating with program and development teams on budgets and grant tracking.
- Act as a financial advisor to leadership, providing insights and data to support strategic planning and mission-driven decision-making.
