Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Type: Full Time/Contract to Hire
Pay: $20-25/hour, depending on experience
Our client in the Oklahoma City, OK metroplex is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their Accounting Department! The Accounts Payable Clerk will have experience in the following.
Job Description and Duties:
- Process high-volume invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to ensure accuracy
- Review expense reports and verify proper documentation and approvals
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
- Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve payment issues
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience (required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (ERP experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
