Job: Program Controls Scheduler
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Contract to Hire (with potential for extension or conversion)
Pay Range: $40-55/hour, depending on experience and skillset
Position Overview
We are working with a client seeking an experienced Scheduler / Project Controls Specialist to support complex, high-visibility accounting projects within a highly regulated environment. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing integrated project schedules to ensure projects remain on track and aligned with overall program objectives.
This is a full-time, on-site position operating on a 9/80 work schedule, allowing employees to work extended hours Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off. Occasional travel to clients or project sites may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules using Microsoft Project and other scheduling tools.
- Support Earned Value Management reporting through alignment of schedule, cost, and resource data.
- Collaborate with project managers, analysts, Cost Account Managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure schedule accuracy and performance tracking.
- Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks or delays, and develop mitigation strategies to support project success.
- Coordinate resource planning and scheduling activities to help ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved on time.
- Prepare and communicate schedule updates, status reports, and performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of schedule revisions, updates, and project documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Ensure scheduling activities comply with contractual requirements, internal procedures, and government regulations.
- Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders regarding schedule impacts and project timelines.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 4+ years of project scheduling, project controls, or related experience
- Active DoD Secret Clearance is preferred, but candidates eligible to obtain clearance can also be considered.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in project management, business, engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
- Strong working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and project controls practices.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Project or comparable scheduling software.
- Experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
