Job: Quality Manager
Location: on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Contract to Hire (with potential for extension or conversion)
Pay Range: $50-60/hour, depending on experience and skill set
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for ensuring product integrity, driving continuous improvement, and supporting operational efficiency-including initiatives that impact cost, waste reduction, and overall performance.
This is a highly visible role that partners closely with operations and leadership to improve both quality outcomes and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain plant-wide quality systems, including inspection methods, procedures, product specifications, GMPs, and compliance
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to support overall cost efficiency
- Analyze production and quality data to determine product acceptability
- Partner with suppliers to resolve defects and support cost recovery efforts
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers on quality-related matters and issue resolution
- Monitor and communicate quality KPIs, including metrics tied to efficiency, yield, and cost reduction
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and leadership on initiatives that improve both product quality and operational performance
- Support reporting and tracking of quality trends that influence performance and business decisions
- Train supervisors and team leads on quality processes, compliance standards, and continuous improvement practices
- Ensure adherence to all quality procedures and regulatory requirements
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or quality-focused role
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field
- Previous management or supervisory experience
- Experience in manufacturing or similar industrial environments
- Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) certification is a preferred, but not required
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence teams at all levels
- Hands-on leadership style with a commitment to accountability and results
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
