Job Title: Sr. Tax Specialist
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Employment Type: Direct Hire Permanent
Pay: $50,000 – 80,000, depending on experience and qualifications
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join one of our clients as we approach tax season. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is dedicated to delivering accurate and insightful tax services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation of intricate federal and state tax filings across multiple jurisdictions for individuals, corporations, and exempt organizations
- Conduct tax research to support managers and senior staff.
- Assist with tax projections and planning for clients.
- Participate in special tax-related projects as needed.
- Communicate directly with clients, addressing questions and concerns.
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS and State Revenue Departments.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of accounting/tax industry work experience
- Prior experience in public accounting and preparing income tax returns required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related financial/business field required
- CPA credentials are a strong plus, with consideration also given to those currently pursuing certification
