Job Title: Accountant
Location: on-site in South Norman, OK
Employment Type: Contract to Hire, with permanent conversion
Pay: $30.00 – 35.00/hour, depending on experience
Position Overview: We are looking for an Accountant to support the accounting team with day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities. The Accountant will be responsible for general ledger activities, reconciliations, invoicing, and payroll support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment while collaborating with internal teams.
This position is on-site, with a Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
- Prepare and post general ledger journal entries
- Reconcile general ledger account balances and investigate discrepancies
- Prepare customer billing and perform payment reconciliations
- Collaborate with operational personnel to support accounting functions
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries and calculate month-end accruals
- Follow and document company internal controls and accounting procedures
- Coordinate with accounting staff across related entities regarding intercompany payables and receivables
- Participate in internal and external financial audits
- Assist with accounting projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in accounting is preferred, though candidates with a degree in a related field and relevant work experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting work experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred, but not required
