Accounts Payable Specialist – York County, ME
Our client, a growing seafood processing and distribution company located in Maine, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage invoice processing, vendor payments, and financial reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak seasons.
Responsibilities:
- Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy and approval.
- Prepare and process payments (checks and electronic).
- Research and resolve vendor discrepancies.
- Assist with AP reporting and month-end closing.
- Maintain vendor records and onboard new vendors.
- Ensure compliance with accounting procedures and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (ERP experience a plus).
