Accountant – Hybrid / Boston, MA
We are assisting our client, a financial services firm, in their search for an Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team on a temporary basis. The role involves managing financial transactions, assisting with reporting, and ensuring accuracy in financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record financial transactions and reconcile bank statements.
- Manage fixed assets, ensuring accurate depreciation and record-keeping.
- Support accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger activities.
- Assist with month-end close and prepare necessary financial reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support accounting and financial processes.
- Support audits by preparing schedules and liaising with auditors.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (Accounting preferred, but open to other majors).
- Experience with fixed assets and bank reconciliations is required.
- Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables and Lookups).
- Experience with Great Plains (a plus).
- Progress toward a CPA (a plus).
