Purchasing Coordinator – Norwood, MA (Onsite)
Our client, a manufacturing company focused on production and supply chain operations, is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to support material planning, procurement, and vendor management functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with purchasing or logistics experience who is comfortable navigating ERP systems and taking initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Issue purchase orders and obtain quotes for materials, goods, and services
- Monitor open orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery
- Resolve shipping and invoicing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate supplier data and purchase documentation in the ERP system
- Collaborate with internal teams on material planning and stock requirements
- Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and vendor performance tracking
- Identify shipping methods and opportunities for process improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1+ year of purchasing or logistics experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting
- Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills required
