Part-Time Bookkeeper (20 hrs/week) – Boston, MA (Onsite)
Our client, a community-focused organization, is seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting and payroll functions. This position will support leadership in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This is an onsite-only role requiring approximately 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling during business hours.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update general ledger and chart of accounts
- Record transactions including income, expenses, and payroll entries
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly
- Prepare financial reports and statements as needed
- Process and submit payroll and related tax filings
Qualifications
- 10+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally in a full-charge capacity
- Familiarity with nonprofit or fund accounting environments preferred
- Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent experience
