Patient Accounts Billing Representative – Remote (Local to Boston, MA)
Our client, a healthcare organization, is seeking a Patient Accounts Billing Representative to assist with billing and collections processes. This role involves reviewing claims, resolving payment issues, and maintaining accurate records while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Review and process claims for accuracy and compliance
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies and denials
- Prepare and submit appeals or corrected claims as needed
- Post charges, payments, and adjustments in internal systems
- Communicate with patients and payers to address billing inquiries
- Maintain organized records and follow established billing procedures
Qualifications
- 1+ years of medical billing or collections experience
- Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding preferred
- Medical billing certification is a plus
