Accounting Manager – Hybrid / Boston, MA
Our client, a large public sector organization within the healthcare space, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations and support ongoing financial system and process initiatives. This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, managing close activities, ensuring compliance, and guiding a small accounting team while partnering across departments.
Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
- Review general ledger activity, reconciliations, and supporting financial analysis
- Coordinate audit activities and prepare required documentation and schedules
- Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies
- Supervise and support accounting staff, including workload management and development
- Support financial systems accuracy and enhancements, including system integrations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with Dynamics GP required
