Bookkeeper – Middletown, RI
Our client, an established organization in the healthcare services space, is seeking a Bookkeeper to support core accounting and financial operations. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day financial processes, maintaining accurate records, and supporting reporting and compliance activities, while working closely with internal finance leadership.
Responsibilities
- Process and record incoming payments and manage accounts payable activities
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of financial data
- Prepare routine financial reports and assist with monthly close activities
- Support vendor administration and maintain related documentation
- Coordinate with external partners for audits and required reporting
- Assist with cash management activities and banking transactions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient financial operations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working with a general ledger in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience using a third-party system (ADP preferred)
- Experience in a healthcare or related industry preferred
