Senior Accountant – Hybrid / Waltham, MA
Our client, a growing company in the healthcare/life sciences sector, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support key accounting functions and financial reporting activities. This role will focus on month-end close, accrual accounting, reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned accounting processes, including accruals and prepaid expenses
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting standards
- Assist with financial reporting and supporting schedules
- Partner with internal teams and external parties to gather financial information
- Support audit requests and documentation preparation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
- Experience with R&D accruals within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences environment required
- NetSuite experience preferred
- CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred
