Senior Payroll Consultant – Remote but must be local to Boston, MA
Our client, a growing organization in the life sciences industry, is seeking a Senior Payroll Consultant to support payroll operations and payroll tax administration during a temporary coverage period. This role will partner with finance and HR stakeholders to ensure accurate payroll processing, maintain multi-state payroll tax compliance, and support related financial activities.
Responsibilities
- Process and review employee payroll across multiple pay cycles
- Manage payroll tax registrations, updates, and ongoing account maintenance
- Research and resolve payroll tax notices, discrepancies, and compliance issues
- Perform payroll reconciliations and assist with payroll-related reporting
- Support invoicing and billing activities for select contractors and consultants
- Partner with finance leadership to address payroll-related questions and issues
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
Qualifications
- 8+ years of payroll processing experience
- Strong experience with multi-state payroll tax administration and payroll compliance
- Experience with payroll reconciliations required
- NetSuite experience required
- Rippling experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
