Interim CFO – Hybrid / Waterbury, CT
Our client, a nonprofit organization, is seeking an Interim CFO to provide financial leadership, oversee accounting and compliance functions, and support strategic financial planning. This role will partner with executive leadership to manage financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, oversee grant funding activities, and provide financial insights to support organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial operations, reporting, and accounting activities.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
- Oversee grant compliance, tracking, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and present financial information to executive leadership and boards.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Monitor organizational financial performance and provide strategic recommendations.
- Support audits and maintain strong internal controls.
- Mentor and support finance team members while enhancing financial processes.
Qualifications
- Previous CFO or senior finance leadership experience.
- Strong nonprofit accounting and finance background preferred.
- Extensive experience managing state and federal grants preferred.
