We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Analyst with nonprofit experience to support our mission-driven organization through financial planning, budgeting, and reporting. This mid-level role plays a critical part in developing insights that guide strategic decisions, ensure funding compliance, and optimize resource allocation across programs.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage organizational budgets, forecasts, and financial models in collaboration with program and development teams.

Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal stakeholders, funders, and board members.

Track restricted and unrestricted funds, ensuring compliance with grant or donor requirements.

Collaborate with Development/Grants team on proposal budgets, financial reporting, and grant reconciliation.

Assist in year-end audit preparation and liaise with auditors as needed.

Support cash flow analysis and monitoring of reserves, investments, and program costs.

Ensure data accuracy across accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage Intacct) and reporting tools.

Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

3-5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2+ years in nonprofit financial management or analysis.

Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles, including fund accounting and grant reporting.

Proficient in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling).

Experience with accounting and budgeting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or Abila MIP.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences.

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines independently.
