Lead Accountant – Hybrid / Devens, MA
Our client, an innovative organization in a highly technical industry, is seeking a Lead Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end close activities, and general accounting operations. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, supporting audits, and assisting with process improvements across the accounting function.
Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare financial statements and support financial reporting processes.
- Analyze financial results and investigate variances.
- Assist with audit requests and compliance-related activities.
- Research accounting matters and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
- Support ongoing system, process, and internal control improvements.
- Partner with finance teams on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting needs.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and management reports.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- CPA and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
