Senior Buyer – Warren, RI
Our client, a food manufacturing company, is seeking a Senior Buyer to support procurement and inventory planning within a fast-paced production environment. This role will manage purchasing activities, supplier relationships, inventory needs, and cost analysis to support ongoing operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing and inventory planning for assigned materials
- Create and monitor purchase orders to support production requirements
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, delivery, and inventory needs
- Analyze purchasing trends, costs, and inventory levels to support planning decisions
- Prepare purchasing reports and monitor procurement performance
- Partner with internal teams to address supply needs and changing priorities
Qualifications
- 3+ years of food procurement, purchasing, or manufacturing experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience
- Sage X3 experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
