Beacon Hill Financial is currently searching for a contract Accounts Payable Specialist for our client in the Maryland Heights, Missouri area. This position is paying $24-$28/hr depending on experience. Essential Functions:
- Process high volume of vendor invoices mostly consisting of matching against purchase orders
- Work with established AP team members to ensure processing is accurate for assigned business divisions
- Communicate with appropriate team or department members to escalate invoicing issues
- Prepare and process payments, such as checks, electronic transfers, or ACH payments.
- Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries, discrepancies, and issues.
- Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all invoices and payments are accounted for accurately
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
