Responsibilities:
- Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and preparation of accurate monthly financial statements
- Analyze financial results and budget‑to‑actual variances, partnering with cross‑functional teams during annual budget preparation
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, receivables, security deposits, restricted funds, reserves, and escrow accounts
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies and respond to reporting‑related questions
- Review and support work completed by the accounting team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development
- Coordinate audits, ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, and manage property onboarding/offboarding, including bank account setup and closure
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience with Yardi property management software preferred, but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate financial data
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and reporting requirements simultaneously
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
