HR Generalist
Location: Onsite in North Reading, MA
A retail client is looking to hire an HR Generalist to support employee relations, employee communication, and HR policies & procedures. This role will be based onsite in North Reading, MA, but will also involve travel throughout New England.
Responsibilities:
- Support managers with employee relations issues, including providing guidance and training
- Understand employment regulations and keeps abreast of employment laws to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements
- Responds to all employee HR inquiries
- Maintain employee files in HRIS & coordinate with payroll department on any related changes
- Support new employee onboarding and exit interviews
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of progressive experience in employee relations and as an HR Generalist
- Considerable knowledge of HR best practices in employee relations and employment law
- Strong communications skills & the ability to connect quickly with employees and managers
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (Kronos preferred)
- Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
