We are seeking an HR Generalist who is eager to grow and develop within a collaborative, mission-driven organization. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in HR who is excited to expand their skill set and take on more ownership over time. You’ll work closely with leadership and gain exposure to a wide range of HR functions, with mentorship and support along the way.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with internal teams across ~50 employees while indirectly supporting a broader network of ~400 affiliated organizations
- Assist with a comprehensive HR audit across a multi-state organization (WA, OR, ID, AK), identifying opportunities to improve policies, compliance, and processes
- Support the modernization of HR infrastructure, including updating employee handbooks, policies, and procedures that are currently outdated
- Collaborate with payroll to improve time & attendance and accrual tracking processes, helping drive efficiency and scalability
- Contribute to the rollout and development of performance management practices across teams and departments
- Serve as a hands-on HR resource for employees and leadership, answering questions, drafting communications, and supporting new initiatives
- Help transition manual and paper-based processes into more streamlined, digital workflows over time
- Learn and support monthly payroll processing (Paychex), providing backup coverage as needed
- Navigate and support a unique organizational structure, including multi-location teams, part-time roles, and volunteer coordination
