Our client, a global law firm, is seeking Temp-to-Perm Interim HR Director to provide senior-level leadership and stability within its Human Resources function during a transitional period. This position will lead core HR functions including employee relations, performance management, recruiting oversight, policy development, HRIS governance, and compliance, while mentoring emerging leaders and supporting global HR initiatives. The ideal candidate is an experienced, consultative HR executive who can step into a complex professional services environment, quickly assess priorities, and balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution. - Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree and/or SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior-level HR leadership within a law firm or professional services organization strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing broad HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, performance management, recruiting, and policy governance.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor HR teams, including developing emerging leaders.
- Deep knowledge of employment law and HR compliance, particularly in New York.
- Strong consultative approach with the ability to influence, provide thoughtful pushback, and build credibility across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to step into an interim role, stabilize operations, and add immediate value.
- Hands-on, adaptable leadership style with strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive matters.
The pay for this role is $145-$165/hour.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
