Our client, a well-established nonprofit organization, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their team in New York, NY. This individual will support the Senior Director of Human Resources, managing a wide range of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance. The role is highly hands-on and requires someone who can effectively manage multiple projects while ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations. This is a mid-level position with broad exposure across HR functions in a collaborative, close-knit team environment. - 4+ years of experience in human resources with a strong focus on recruitment, required.
- Experience managing full-cycle recruiting processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding, required.
- Prior experience working in a small to mid-sized organization with broad HR responsibilities, required.
- Nonprofit experience, preferably within adoption, foster care, or child welfare, preferred.
- Experience with employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance, required.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and multi-state employment laws and regulations, required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, required.
- Experience developing HR trainings and facilitating presentations, preferred.
- Exposure to HR systems, databases, or payroll platforms, preferred.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, required.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism, required.
The pay for this role is $38-$41/hour.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
