Our client, a mission-driven legal and policy organization, is seeking a Temp Recruiter to provide hands-on support during a high-volume hiring period. This role will partner closely with the Recruitment Manager and Recruiting Associate to manage full life-cycle recruitment across a variety of roles, including attorneys, assistants, associates, and additional staff positions. The recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, screening, scheduling, candidate communication, offers, and maintaining accurate information within the ATS. This is a temp role starting ASAP and running through the end of the year, with potential for extension. The role is mostly remote with 1-2 days per week onsite in NYC, and requires flexibility based on business needs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, candidate-focused, comfortable managing a high volume of applications, and able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. - Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, ideally supporting high-volume hiring or roles that receive a large volume of applicants.
- Proven ability to manage full life-cycle recruitment, including job postings, resume review, phone screens, interview coordination, candidate feedback, and offers.
- Experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter and building diverse talent pipelines.
- Strong experience using applicant tracking systems; JazzHR experience preferred.
- Ability to partner effectively with hiring managers, HR/People teams, external agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Comfortable conducting a high volume of phone screens and maintaining consistent candidate communication throughout the process.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the professionalism needed to work closely with attorneys and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple open roles and shifting priorities at once.
- Strong judgment, emotional intelligence, and ability to assess candidate fit while adapting to stakeholder needs.
- Experience tracking recruiting data, running reports, and identifying opportunities to improve processes preferred.
- Prior nonprofit, legal, policy, or mission-driven organization experience preferred but not required.
- Flexible, proactive, kind, and collaborative, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
The pay for this role is $40-50/hour.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
