Our client, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Compensation Manager Consultant to join its Human Resources team in New York for a one-year fixed term. This hybrid role will support the firm’s broad-based compensation programs for business services employees while also assisting with compensation administration and analysis for legal staff. The individual will lead annual compensation processes, market benchmarking, salary reviews, bonus planning, reporting, and compensation governance initiatives while serving as a key advisor to HR leadership and business stakeholders. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership opportunity with direct management and mentoring responsibilities, ideal for a compensation professional who thrives in a data-driven, consultative environment. - 7+ years of progressive compensation experience, required.
- Professional services industry experience, required.
- Law firm compensation experience, preferred.
- Experience leading salary reviews, merit planning, bonus administration, and market pricing initiatives, required.
- Experience conducting compensation benchmarking and analysis, required.
- Experience managing, supervising, or mentoring compensation analysts or HR professionals, required.
- Strong knowledge of compensation principles including salary structures, salary surveys, geographic differentials, and compensation governance, required.
- Experience with Workday and Workday Advanced Compensation, preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field, required.
- Strong leadership, coaching, project management, and stakeholder management skills, required.
The salary for this role is $165K-$225K.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
