Position: Bookkeeper
Location: Norfolk, Virginia (Hybrid)
A well-established financial services firm is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their growing team in Norfolk, Virginia. The ideal candidate will bring strong bookkeeping and administrative skills to support daily accounting functions, transaction tracking, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities

Record and manage vendor bills, invoices, and payments using established systems and procedures

Reconcile account balances and ensure sufficient funds for upcoming expenses

Prepare monthly reconciliation and cash flow reports for management review

Generate monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports using QuickBooks or Quicken

Assist with annual tax-related filings such as 1099s and W-2s
-
Maintain organized financial records and documentation

Communicate with internal teams, clients, and external partners as needed

Support additional accounting and administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred

Minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping experience

Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online

Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Adobe, Outlook)

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Experience with billing systems is a plus
