Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Private Wealth Legal Assistant to serve as a strategic operational partner to attorneys in a trusts and estates practice. This role owns workflow coordination, client service execution, matter management, billing support, and day-to-day administrative operations to help attorneys work efficiently and deliver a high level of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Own workflow for assigned attorneys, including task delegation, deadline tracking, follow-up, and quality control across trusts and estates matters.
- Support matter intake, conflict checks, file opening, billing coordination, budget tracking, and other practice operations.
- Prepare, revise, and proofread legal documents and correspondence while maintaining organized, secure matter files.
- Serve as a key liaison among attorneys, clients, and internal teams, while managing communications, calendars, and other high-level administrative needs.
Required Qualifications
- Required: prior trusts and estates experience, including estate planning, probate, trust administration, or closely related legal work.
- Experience supporting attorneys in a fast-paced legal environment with strong skills in document preparation, matter intake, and file management.
- Excellent organization, judgment, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and confidentially.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning legal technology, workflow systems, and document management tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting senior attorneys, partners, or high-performing legal practitioners.
- Background in client billing, matter budgeting, and administrative support tied to complex legal practices.
- Experience using workflow tools, dashboards, automation features, or AI-enabled technology in a professional services environment.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes, streamline handoffs, and reduce administrative burden for attorneys.
