Immigration Paralegal

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking an experienced Employment-Based Immigration Paralegal to support a high-volume business immigration practice. This position is responsible for preparing and filing a variety of employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant matters, managing case progression from initiation through completion, and serving as a primary point of contact for clients and foreign national employees. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of independently handling a diverse caseload.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file a broad range of employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant petitions and applications, including temporary work visas, permanent residency matters, labor certifications, and investor-based immigration filings.
  • Draft government forms, support documentation, correspondence, and petition packages in compliance with applicable immigration regulations and agency requirements.
  • Collect, review, and organize supporting documentation from corporate clients and foreign nationals.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned matters, ensuring timely preparation, filing, and follow-up.
  • Communicate directly with clients, beneficiaries, and government agencies regarding case status and requirements.
  • Monitor case deadlines and respond to government notices, requests for evidence, audits, and related inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate case records, billable time entries, and matter updates within case management systems.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to provide responsive and efficient client service.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of employment-based immigration paralegal experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong familiarity with a variety of nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories and permanent residency processes.
  • Experience using legal case management platforms, document management systems, and client relationship management (CRM) tools.
  • Exposure to investor-based immigration matters is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
