Commercial Litigation Paralegal

An established law firm is seeking a Paralegal to join its Chicago office. This is a full-time opportunity supporting commercial litigation matters in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

This role will work closely with attorneys to manage cases from inception through resolution and play a key part in keeping matters moving efficiently.

The position offers a hybrid schedule, starting with three days in-office and two days remote, and transitioning to one in-office day per month after training.

The salary range for this position is $75,000-$100,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support commercial litigation matters and manage cases alongside attorneys
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and orders
  • Handle e-filing in both state and federal courts, including Cook County and surrounding counties
  • Communicate with court personnel, including chambers and clerks
  • Assist with trial preparation, including binder organization and exhibits
  • Manage discovery and document productions
  • Attend hearings via Zoom as needed

Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years of litigation experience, with a preference for candidates with 5+ years
  • Strong experience with e-filing in Illinois state and federal courts
  • Solid understanding of public records research and ability to identify potential assets
  • Experience with trial preparation is a plus
  • Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms is a plus
  • Exposure to bankruptcy or post-judgment collections is a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
