A thriving construction law practice at a highly regarded law firm is seeking a mid-level associate with 4+ years of experience to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in construction litigation who is looking to deepen their experience, take on meaningful responsibility, and build a long-term practice in the construction space.
About the Role
The associate will work on sophisticated construction disputes involving issues such as design defects, construction defects, delays, mechanic’s liens, and payment disputes.
The construction law group represents general contractors, owners, and developers in drafting and negotiating construction agreements, managing pre-claim disputes, and litigating claims in court and arbitration across the United States. The team is led by partners with deep construction law experience and offers associates top-tier training, close partner mentorship, and the opportunity to play a significant role on assigned matters.
Associates work closely with partners to evaluate claims, develop strategy, manage disputes, and prepare matters for resolution, claim avoidance, arbitration, or trial. The group is highly collaborative and business-development minded, offering immediate opportunities for the selected candidate to grow their professional network with support and mentorship from senior attorneys.
Ideal Candidate
- 4+ years of construction litigation experience
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Experience with construction defects, design defects, delay claims, mechanic’s liens, and payment disputes
- Collaborative, proactive, and interested in client-facing responsibility and business development
