Litigation Paralegal (Personal Injury)
An established law firm is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its Chicago office, supporting a busy personal injury team focused on single-event matters. This is a full-time opportunity within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
This role will work closely with attorneys to manage cases from inception through trial and play a key part in keeping matters organized and moving efficiently.
The position offers a hybrid schedule, starting fully onsite and transitioning after 90 days to include remote flexibility (typically 1 day remote, with openness to additional flexibility depending on experience).
The salary range for this position is up to $90,000, with flexibility for more experienced candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support personal injury litigation matters from case inception through trial
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and correspondence
- Manage case files, track deadlines, and maintain litigation calendars
- Coordinate depositions, hearings, and court filings
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, experts, and opposing counsel
- Organize and summarize medical records, bills, and related documentation
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness coordination, and binders
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of personal injury litigation experience required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities
