A sophisticated law firm is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to support its legal risk, conflicts, and new business intake functions. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys ethics analysis, issue spotting, and working closely with lawyers and professional staff to help clear new matters, lateral hires, and client engagements in a thoughtful and efficient manner.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate potential conflicts of interest connected to new clients, new matters, and attorney movement.
- Analyze conflicts reports and related information to identify legal, ethical, and business risk considerations.
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and coordinating waivers, engagement terms, and related risk management documentation.
- Support consistent and timely clearance processes.
Required Background
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Active Illinois law license in good standing.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in conflicts, professional responsibility, legal risk, compliance, or law firm operations.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $140,000 to $200,000 dependent on experience. The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including (but not limited to) health, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
