Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a well-respected national law firm to hire a Legal Support Specialist for a temporary position in their Jefferson City office. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional legal environment while supporting the daily operations of a highly regarded firm.
Position Overview:
The Legal Support Specialist will provide administrative and clerical assistance as part of the firm’s Administrative Resource Team. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Draft, type, transcribe, and revise documents.

Coordinate meetings and travel arrangements; prepare itineraries.

Prepare expense reports, reimbursement requests, and related tasks.

Save and organize pleadings and documents in the firm’s document management system.

Enter billable time and assist with revisions to time entries and prebills.

Support the preparation of binders, mailings, and file organization.
-
Handle on-site tasks including copying, mailing, printing, and scanning.

Maintain and update project logs to track assignments.

Operate office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.

Conduct all work in a confidential and professional manner.

Perform additional administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.

1-2 years of administrative experience, ideally in a legal or professional services setting.

Strong typing skills (minimum 60 wpm).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
